Please Endorse Our Effort to Restore WSDA's Small Farms and Farm to School Programs
Please join a coalition of organizations, including the Washington Sustainable Food & Farming Network, Tilth Producers of Washington, Washington State Farmers Market Association, Faith Action Network, Children’s Alliance, WithinReach, Nutrition First, the Childhood Obesity Prevention Coalition, the Anti Hunger Nutrition Coalition, Washington State Food & Nutrtion Council and others to support restoring $500,000 in the 2013 – 2015 budget for WSDA’s Small Farms & Farm to School Programs. In 2011 the Legislature eliminated all general funds for the WSDA Small Farm Direct Marketing and Farm to School Programs. Restoring these services will help our farmers, our kids and our economy. We, the undersigned, endorse restoring funds for the WSDA Small Farms and Farm to School Program in the 2013-2015 state budget.
